The contractors for Medicare have recently issued a new proposal (Local Coverage Determination of LCD) for lower limb prosthetics that will severely impact existing, new and future amputees. There have always been strict regulations on how a patient qualifies for a prosthetic limb, but these changes are the most drastic and intrusive that have ever been suggested.

A petition was posted on July 31, 2015 to rescind this proposal. 100,000 signatures are required in order to get a response from the White House. Please sign this petition. The deadline for signatures is August 31, 2015. The link is posted below.
